Acknowledging Brunei's vital contributions to the socio-economic development of Mindanao through the scholarship program it is currently implementing for our Madrasah Administrators and Teachers, I shared with His Majesty the Sultan and Foreign Minister Bolkiah the importance of creating a critical mass of Madrasah administrators and teachers to strengthen our human resources development program for the benefit of our Muslim brothers and sisters in Mindanao.

Mindanao Peace Process

I also took the opportunity to convey the Philippines' appreciation for Brunei's continued support for our peace and development program in Mindanao and our efforts to secure Observer Status in the OIC. We are particularly thankful to Brunei for sending a 10-man contingent to the International Monitoring Team.
